Love Kids Orphanage home was established in 2007 to ameliorate the conditions of
orphaned children living without their parents.
Love kids orphanage home was founded in October 2007 in Nkoranza, a small village in central Ghana. At first, as a family, we took in three children from our community who had lost their parents and had no-one willing to care for them. Then further investigation led to the discovery that there were many children in the community who were desperately lacking a secure home and parental care. Thus Love Kids Orphanage and care home was born. As a relatively new organization, the history of Love Kids Orphanage is far from written! We are currently living in a rented property, and we are keen to raise enough money to buy a small plot of land to secure a sustainable home for the children. Here we would like to build a good house for them, and have a small farm to grow crops for them to eat, and where they can learn to manage the land as is traditional in the Nkoranza community, which is mostly made up of farmers. We also send all the children to school, to give them the freedom to pursue the future paths they dream of. As part of an African family, the children are brought up in a traditional Ghanaian style, but by receiving volunteers from all over the world, we want the children to get a chance to make friends from many different cultures, and learn lots about the big wide world they live in.
